Looking for the perfect stuffing recipe, but have guest that are gluten free? This Savory Waffle Stuffing is tasty, easy to make, and won't break the bank.
  • 6 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Packages Gluten Free Waffles, toasted
  • 2 Yellow Onions, diced
  • 6 Stalks Celery, chopped
  • 1 Fresh Baby Bella Mushrooms, sliced (or any small mushroom)
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 Sprigs Fresh Rosemary, chopped (or 2 Teaspoons dried)
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Dried Sage
  • ½ Cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Fresh Ground Pepper
  • ¼-1/2 cup Cream or Milk
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350*.
  2. Using a toaster toast all of the gluten free waffles (I like to pop them in the toaster twice to really dry them out). Chop the toasted waffled into small squares about ¼-1/2 inch pieces.
  3. In a large skillet add 5 Tablespoons butter, onion, celery, garlic, dried sage, salt, and pepper sauté over medium-low heat until translucent and soft. Next add the sliced mushrooms and the remaining tablespoon of butter until soft and starting to caramelize. Add the rosemary and parsley and remove from heat.
  4. Add the waffles to the vegetable sauté and stir until evenly combined. Add the cream a little at a time to bind everything together. Place in a casserole dish or turkey and cook until heated through.
  5. I like mine a bit crispy, so I tend to leave it in longer. In a casserole dish I would bake it for about 20 min. When stuffing a turkey please see your turkey preparation/cooking guidelines front the company (cooking times can vary depending on weight).
