A Night at Gayle’s Chocolates Plus a 2.5 LB Chocolate Bunny Giveaway! #AnEveningAtGayles

Gayle's Chocolates giveaway

The other night I was invited to my very first blogger event at Gayle’s Chocolates!  I was honored to be one of the 10 local bloggers invited.  The event consisted of wine tasting with Elie from Elie Wine Company with some of Gayle’s delicious chocolates.

For those of you who don’t know Gayle’s Chocolates began as a hobby at home 35 years ago that grew out of a love of cooking and eating.  As you know I’m a sucker for anyone who takes something they are truly passionate about and turns it into a business.  I wish everyone took the risk to live their passion.

Gayle’s philosophy has not changed over the years. All the recipes are the same as they were in 1979. As Gayle has said, “Everything is still made and packaged by hand. The only thing that has changed since 1979 is that now I have 25 pairs of hands helping me.”

Wine and Chocolate

An Evening at Gayle’s was the perfect way to start my weekend.  Gayle and Elie picked out 6 different wines and chocolates; then had us taste test each chocolate one by one with the different wines.  It was a great opportunity to learn about the characteristics of the two; what we liked and didn’t like.  Once you’ve had good chocolate there is no going back!  Smooth, rich, velvety chocolate is something even I can’t resist.  I know I focus on trying to eat healthy most of the time but chocolate in moderation is a wonderful thing and knowing you are eating quality chocolate helps easy the guilt.  Everything in moderation my friends 🙂

It was a wonderful night and I loved meeting all of my fellow bloggers!  We even received a little goody bag after the event, Yum!  Gayle sure does know the way to my heart.  I can’t wait to pick up some chocolates and wine, and host my very own chocolate and wine tasting party with my girlfriends!

Gayle’s Chocolates wanted to share the love and one of my luck readers will win a 2.5LB chocolate bunny (Milk or Dark Chocolate your choice)!  Live out-of-state no problem Gayle’s ships through the United States!  While you are waiting to win your Chocolate Bunny check out their website www.GaylesChocolates.com

Ears first and milk (or white!) chocolate….I’ve always preferred hollow chocolate bunnies…they just always tasted better as a kid!

I save the ears for last – drove my siblings crazy when we were growing up – they did ears first.

I have never really thought about how I eat my chocolate bunny lol. Usually, I eat it GUILTILY, because it is an ear that I am eating of my daughter’s bunny. HA! Ok, ear it is I guess.

I would start from the ears! I’d place it in my pantry and allow myself 1 (or 2 or 3 ☺️) nibbles a day!
