I love making these when I am doing the biggest loser contest at work.  Being in the HR department it’s my goal to ensure that staff are happy and healthy.  About every 12 weeks or so we run a biggest loser competition to help everyone be mindful of their health.  I love to share delicious and healthy recipes to keep everyone on track, and these Easy Sage Roasted Turkey Legs are easy enough for even the most inexperienced cook.

Ingredients:

2 Large Turkey Legs

1 Tablespoon melted Coconut Oil or Butter

2 Teaspoons Salt

4 Teaspoons Fresh Sage,

1/2 Teaspoon Fresh Ground Black Pepper

Preheat the oven to 375*

To make the easy sage roasted turkey legs in a small bowl combine the salt, pepper and sage making a rub.  Brush the turkey leg with the melted Coconut Oil and generously season them with the herb rub mixture using all of it.

Place the turkey legs in a shallow dish. I lined mine with parchment paper to make cleanup a breeze!  Cover the dish with foil paper and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil paper and continue to bake in the oven until the internal temperature reaches 165* and the skin is golden and crispy (about 20 minutes).  Remove from the oven and baste the turkey legs with the sage drippings then serve.
