Rosemary Infused Sea Salt

I don’t know about you, but I love making homemade gifts.  To me it’s not about the price, but the thought behind the gift.  This year I wanted to make some of my foodie friends something that they could use.  I used fresh from my garden rosemary to make this Rosemary Infused Sea Salt.  Watch out Martha Stewart!  It’s perfect on almost anything from scrambled eggs to pot roast.  I’ve even put it in cookies and cakes.  Who would have thought such a quick, simple, and inexpensive gift would be so versatile.  This Rosemary Infused Sea Salt is the perfect homemade gift that everyone can enjoy especially your favorite foodies.

Ingredients/ Supplies:

1 Cup Fresh Rosemary, chopped

1 Cup Coarse Sea Salt

Sealable containers (I used small canning containers with metal lids)

Fun Labels (I was making mine for a gift)

If necessary wash the rosemary.  Allow to air dry if you washed it (you need to make sure it’s completely dry, or it will cook not dry in the microwave).  Remove the rosemary from the woody stalks.  Roughly chop the rosemary.Isn’t my rosemary plant beautiful! I had a few plants this year and they were over two feet tall.   I just love having fresh herbs in the garden.

Once the rosemary infused sea salt has cooled; place in a sealable container.  I used a small mason jar with one of those adorable chalk board stickers on the top as a cute label.  Pair this with a jar of our Finger Licking BBQ Rib rub and you have an amazing gift Rosemary Infused Sea Salt the perfect holiday gift for your favorite foodie.
