Stone Fruit Salad with Honey Dressing

This weekend was my very good friend Eva’s Bridal shower, and you guessed it yours truly made all of the food for the occasion.  There is something about weddings and Bridal showers that just make me giddy, add that with my love of cooking and watch out!  I might have went a bit overboard on the food for the shower, but you only get married once right?  Now with that being said it’s been soooooo warm lately I wanted to make a fruit salad; however I didn’t feel like my go to watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, and Kiwi salad was elegant enough for such an event.

Ingredients:

5 to 7 pounds ripe stone fruit (I used a mix of nectarines, peaches, white peaches, plums, and cherries)

1/2 Lb Dinosaur Fruit aka Pluots

1/4 cup sugar (or your favorite sugar substitute like honey or agave)

2 tablespoons lemon juice

Wash and dry all of the fruit.  Slice all of the fruit into pieces.

Peaches

Slice all of the cherries in half and remove the pits.

Cherries

Combine all of the fruit into one large bowl.  Pour the honey and lemon juice over the fruit and toss gently.  Place the salad in the fridge for at least 1 hour to allow the juice to flow from the fruit.

You can keep in the fridge for up to two or three days.  Feel free to make this the night before your event.  This Stone Fruit Salad with Honey Dressing is the perfect addition to your next brunch.

Here’s a look at all of the ladies from Saturdays event,  we all got Henna Tattoos!  We had anything from a traditional design to Turtle and Ice Cream Cones LOL.  I would recommend Henna tattoos at any shower it’s such a fun activity, and it really gets the guests talking and interacting with one another.  Its way better than those boring wedding games 🙂  Congratulations Eva and Jeff!!! XOXO
